Baptist Memorial Hospital is part of one of the highest regarded health care systems in the nation, Baptist Memorial Health Care. This is an award-winning network with 15 affiliate hospitals throughout the Mid-South. The facility in Huntingdon has experienced tremendous growth since its inception in 1951. It added a 5,000-square-foot physician office building in 1989, and in 1994, the hospital added a 40,000-square-foot medical center. The American Hospital Association's 2012 Champions of Care Hospital Week video included 18 departments at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Huntingdon.
