HCA Healthcare Telehealth Provider Network
Nashville-based HCA Healthcare is one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services, comprising 185 hospitals and approximately 1,800 sites of care, including surgery centers, freestanding ERs, urgent care centers, and physician clinics, in 21 states and the United Kingdom. HCA Healthcare is a learning healthcare system that uses its more than 31 million annual patient encounters to advance science, improve patient care and save lives.
HCA has seen significant growth in its use of telehealth, with over 360 active telehealth sites and 27 service offerings ranging from Behavioral Health, Neurology to Women’s & Children’s. The goal of these programs is to fully leverage HCA’s clinical and operational capabilities to provide high-quality, fully integrated telehealth programs to deliver care at or above the same standard as in-person encounters.
As part of its telehealth program, HCA formed HCA Telehealth Provider Network in early 2019 to serve as its internal physician practice that provides telepsychiatry services to its hospitals. This practice will scale to support HCA’s 30,000 annual telepsychiatry consults in its emergency rooms and medical floors.
