The hospital is fully accredited by both the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) of the American Osteopathic Association.
Founded in 1906, UPMC Horizon is comprised of two, full-service hospital campuses in northwestern Pennsylvania (Greenville and Shenango Valley) which merged in 1998 with UPMC Health System.
