Due to high market demand and an increasingly busy practice, which is currently at capacity, Des Peres Hospital is seeking an Obesity Medicine Physician to join its nationally acclaimed Bariatric Program. Our current Obesity Medicine Physician collaborates with a PA and a Bariatric Surgeon at this program, from a medical and surgical perspective, for complete treatment of the patient. Obesity is a major health condition affecting all population groups. There is a high demand for physicians who can treat obesity conditions. The ultimate goal of the group is to develop a multidisciplinary Obesity Center.
- Outpatient only
- Internal Medicine, primarily treating patients with obesity and related diseases
- Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:30, shared call
- Employed by local group practice consisting of 20 physicians and physician assistants in multiple locations in the St. Louis area
- New physician will be based at one office location (with current physician and PA, sharing space with a Bariatric Surgeon)
- Anticipated average daily patient census- 25
- Equipment/services available in the office: EKG, spirometry, EndoPAT, Impedimed, ABI, and hydrogen breath test
- At least 3 years of practice experience required
Candidates must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine and have an interest in Obesity Medicine. Fellowship training and/or Board Eligibility in Obesity Medicine is highly preferred. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
