Receiving almost 3,000 Trauma cases and over 60,000 ED visits annually, Wesley is the only verified Pediatric Trauma Center in the state of Kansas, with Board Certified Pediatric Surgeons on call 24/7.

For surgeons who enjoy teaching, there is opportunity for faculty appointment in the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita. The school of medicine campus is a four year medical school spanning three hospitals in Wichita. The campus offers state-of-art audiovisual technology, a dedicated standardized patient “clinic” and a high-fidelity simulation center for interprofessional, team-based simulation.
