The Director of Revenue Cycle is responsible for revenue cycle operations for all District sites.
Manages the billing and collection functions for all business lines in multiple locations. Works in remote locations to ensure visibility and accessibility.
Collaborates with business units to improve existing billing and collection processes, identifies opportunities to enhance reimbursement and develops meaningful, accurate reporting packages.
Develops policies and procedures for billing and collecting staff. Monitors and improves processes for account management and customer service.
Prepares regular and ad hoc reports related to revenue performance including aging schedules, cash receipts, payment posting, net revenue analysis by payer, denials, DNFB, short pay accounts, credit balances, over-payments, etc.
Assists the Director of Budget/DSS in the completion of financial impact studies, pro-formas, and other financial analyses for business growth. Provides revenue forecasts during the budgeting process.
Performs various analyses on revenue (gross, net and per unit), pricing (impact studies, payer comparisons, rate variances), and reimbursement at the direction of management.
Provides feedback to revenue cycle managers/supervisors to maximize performance of front-end and back-end processes. Keeps procedures current, educates staff on industry changes, implements standards that improve patient flow, enhance insurance eligibility and reduces bad debt.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Master’s degree in the same fields preferred.
Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in an equivalent position required. Management of accounts receivable in an integrated network required.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or other medical coding certifications preferred.
