Clinical Trial Oncologist to join Sarah Cannon Research team in Denver
The Sarah Cannon Research Institute at HealthONE is seeking an additional full time oncologist to join their rapidly growing phase 1 clinical trials unit in beautiful Denver, Colorado. This is a unique opportunity for academically oriented clinical research outside the constraints of a university setting, which allows for more agility, efficiency and flexibility.
Since opening the clinic in October 2014, dozens of trials have been activated and hundreds of patients have been enrolled. Academic productivity has also been high, already with many abstracts presented at national/international conferences, including two first-author oral presentations at ASCO and AACR.
Some of the responsibilities of the position include:
- Being a principal investigator and sub-investigator on early phase trials
- Enrolling and caring for patients with advanced refractory cancers
- Participating on trial teleconferences,
- Authoring abstracts and manuscripts
- Additional responsibilities that would be expected for a clinical investigator
- The ideal candidate would have a strong background in clinical research
- Impeccable clinical judgment
- Outstanding interpersonal skills.
