Lee’s Summit Medical Center (LSMC) is partnering with Midwest Women’s Healthcare Specialists to create a new OB/GYN practice location in 2018. The new practice location will serve the rapidly growing Lee’s Summit and Kansas City communities at LSMC.
We are seeking an OB/GYN Medical Director to lead a team of 5+ physicians and 4+ midwives serving the Kansas City and Lee’s Summit communities. This is a high-level, working leadership position to include approximately 90 percent clinical and 10 percent administrative responsibilities. The Medical Director will be responsible for leading programmatic efforts as the OBGYN service line and group expansion efforts continue at Lee’s Summit Medical Center and Research Medical Center.
We are seeking a leader with a passion for women’s health and an interest in building a culture of patient-centeredness, built on principles of collaboration and service excellence. The Medical Director will be charged with fostering a culture of evidence-based, state of the art OBGYN care with an emphasis on measuring key outcomes and implementing best practices. Qualified candidates will need a minimum of 8+ years of clinical practice experience. Candidates with an interest in resident teaching are encouraged to apply. Experience serving in a Medical Directorship or leadership role within a group and excellent interpersonal skills are highly preferred. The practice will cover L&D and other women’s services needs at Lee’s Summit Medical Center. Call rotation will be 1:4 home call with additional midwife first call support. Through the partnership with Midwest Women’s Healthcare Specialists weekend call will be 1:9.
This practice opportunity features a strong referral base, stability of an employed practice, collaboration with the physicians of Midwest Women’s Healthcare Specialists, and an outstanding group of midwives already practicing in the area. Physicians will experience a loyal and supportive community, brand new clinic space and newly renovated L&D unit, an excellent robotic surgery program, and surgery center investment opportunities. Easy access to women's health subspecialists, including but not limited to Urogynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Gynecological Oncology, is another feature.
