Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing and hold an active Florida state license.
Experience: Prefer 1 year experience in an outpatient healthcare facility, but will accept new graduates.
Other Requirements: Possess advance telephone skills as well as good organizational skills. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written). Current CPR certification.
- Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
- Provides instructions and education to patient and family.
- Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician.
- Assumes responsibility for maintain current certification for CPR.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Adheres to nursing policy and procedures when documenting information in patient’s medical record.
- Summons and prepares patient for office visit. Assists physician with office procedures.
