The ideal candidate enjoys the challenge of clinical practice and caring for patients with the entire gamut of hyperkinetic and hypokinetic movement disorders. Comfort and expertise in performing botulinum toxin injections are required. Experience with deep brain stimulation management would be an asset.

About Rocky Mountain Movement Disorders Center:
The center includes a research center for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders and an HDSA Center of Excellence. This is one of the largest centers for movement disorders clinical trials in the United States with current or recent trials of new agents for Parkinson’s disease, PSP, essential tremor, dystonia, DLB, and Huntington’s disease. Founded over 10 years ago the Rocky Mountain Movement Disorders Clinic is large enough to be firmly rooted and established while being small enough to allow critical thought to prevail over bureaucracy. They have a large and well-established referral base of primary care physicians, general neurologists, and other specialists, and receive referrals from throughout Colorado and the surrounding states. They are focused on Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and other movement disorders. The successful candidate will work directly with Dr. Kumar who has 20 years of clinical research experience and is a recognized leader in the field. The team is located in a small non-corporate setting with 25 other team members located on the campus of Swedish Medical Center, in Englewood, Colorado. Extensive collaboration with neurosurgery, neuroradiology, physiatry, and neuropsychology is part of our daily practice. The practice collaborates with the Colorado Neurological Institute, a community-based non-profit, to provide multidisciplinary care to patients including social work services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy as well as to provide educational programs to our community.
