Alaska Regional Medical Center is looking for a PM&R physician to cover our 10 bed inpatient rehab unit. This is a inpatient only opportunity working in conjunction with our established Hospitlaist service to provide full time permanent coverage to our unit. Call for nights and weekends will be shared with the hospitalist program offering a good lifestyle balance with the opportunity to provide high quality care to our rehab patients. We believe that good outcomes are coupled with quality care, education, and focus on treating the whole patient.
Alaska Regional’s Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation provides intensive inpatient therapy services to those suffering from disabling impairments. Our program will help determine the most appropriate setting and intensity of required rehab services as it pertains to your individual care needs. The primary conditions treated in our 10-bed unit are:
• Spinal Cord Injury
• Brain Injury
• Neurological conditions
• Major multiple trauma injuries
• Medically complex conditions
• Orthopedic conditions
