This is a great opportunity for those seeking quality of life/work balance. The position offers the ability to schedule shifts a month in advance and the opportunity to obtain an academic appointment through UMASS Medical School – UMASS OB/GYN.
The Laborist would be working various 12 hour and/or 24 hour shifts at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts. There will be occasions where the Laborist would not need to be physically within the hospital, but close by. The facility has a 24/7 nurse mid-wife program and is in the process of becoming a Level II B certified nursery.
