Job Description - HCA’s Portsmouth Regional Hospital is recruiting an additional surgeon to become the 3rd general surgeon within our employed group. Our ideal candidate will practice a full spectrum of general surgery, but also be certified as a Bariatric Surgeon. The job entails bread and butter General Surgery, Advanced Laparoscopic, robotic, and Bariatric surgery. This opportunity includes outpatient office hours, surgery block time and in-patient rounding.
The incoming physician will benefit from potential referrals from four large primary care practices as well as independent practices throughout the area.
The recruitment package includes generous salary, a comprehensive benefit package with sign-on bonus and relocation provided.
Bariatric Highlights – Hospital supported multidisciplinary Bariatric team, comprised of tenured bariatric surgeons, Advanced Practice Providers, Psychiatrist, LPC, LCSW, Dietitians, Exercise Specialist, Bariatric Coordinator, Office Coordinator, Certified Diabetes Education Nurse, Metabolic Bariatric Surgery Clinical Reviewer.
Our program is also a designated Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgeons.
