Banner Health, a Top 5 Large Health System and one of the country's premier, non-profit health care networks is seeking a BC/BE General/Trauma Surgeon for an employed opportunity at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in the Phoenix west valley metro area. This is going to be a new State Level 1/ACS Level II trauma program. The selected candidate will be integral in development of a high volume trauma and acute care surgery program. BTMC is part of the larger Banner Health trauma system, which includes an academic ACS Level 1 trauma center. BTMC is a 474 bed hospital with a top rated ICU, 16 main OR's including a new hybrid OR and five outpatient OR's. BTMC ED is one of the busiest in the metropolitan Phoenix area with about 110,000 visits annually. BTMC is one of the highest acuity hospitals within Banner and is part of the larger Banner Health trauma system, which includes an academic ACS Level 1 trauma center.
Excellent opportunity for a BE/BC General Surgeon interested in a position with a high interest in trauma surgery who enjoys working with the team to grow and build the services offered at BTMC. Trauma / Surgical Critical fellowship is highly encouraged. The candidate will be actively involved in the trauma and acute care surgery call and service, the surgical/trauma ICU service and a growing elective surgery practice.
