The Division of Pediatric Critical Care at the University of Arizona seek a qualified candidate to join a growing team as a Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist. Join a team of eight intensivists (all fellowship trained in Pediatric Critical Care) and be instrumental in building the program. This is an exceptional ground-floor opportunity!
Faculty appointment commensurate with credentials.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pre-operative patient planning with Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Post-operative care of Pediatric Congenital Heart Disease patients
- Peds ICU rotations
- Direct involvement in training of peds residents and med students
- ICU staff education
- Call: TBD but currently averages 1:8
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Arizona medical license obtained by start date
- Board Certified
- Critical Care
- Peds Cardiology (or fellowship in care of congenital heart patients)
- Desire to build a program
