The primary responsibility of a Transporter is to escort patients, via stretcher or wheelchair, from their patient care unit to the Radiology department and back in a very safe and efficient manner. A transporter must be able to communicate well with the patient to assure a positive experience when having an imaging procedure. The transporter will also be assigned other tasks such as running errands to other departments, linen exchange, and the cleaning of equipment. The transporter plays a key role in the efficient operation of the Radiology department.
High school graduate or GED; Speaks fluent English; CPR certification recommended
