Job Description

NO AGENCIES. North Okaloosa Medical Center (NOMC), Crestview, FL, is seeking a NP or PA for their growing Ortho practice.

  • Ideal candidate will have experience in Orthopedic/Physical Rehab, or have sports medicine/exercise background
  • Candidate must be eligible to obtain licensing & prescriptive authority
  • additional requirements/responsibilities include but not limited to:
    • Working closely w/ the Ortho Surgeon, hospitalists & PCP's
    • Experience working in surgical specialty and/or Surgical 1st Assist
    • Perform H&P's
    • Excellent communication skills are critical
    • Provide education to patients pre & post op
    • Round on patients & chart patient's status accordingly

    North Okaloosa Medical Center is a 110-bed facility, accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and certified by the American Heart Association as a  "Get With the Guidelines" facility. The offers a full range of health services to the city of Okaloosa and Walton County including 24-hour emergency care (18 ER bays), an outpatient surgery center, an outpatient diagnostic center, a pediatric unit, a heart and vascular center, a dialysis unit, and women's services. There are more than 127 physicians on staff at the hospital and it is located 45 miles from Florida's Gulf Coast.
