Provide Pulmonary care services in the gorgeous recreational lakeside community of Tim Fords lake and only twelve miles from Mont Eagle Mountain and the beautiful campus of University of the South. Southern TN Regional Health System Winchester performs complete pulmonary function diagnostic tests inclusive of spirometry, respiratory mechanics, nitrogen washout and single breath, arterial blood gases, and diffusion capacity inclusive of pre and post broncho-dilation testing. Our hospital has a 128 slice CT scanner, MRI, xray, ultrasound and low dose CT scans. Methacholine testing can be performed if interested. The new physician will be asked to support a ten bed ICU with ten days of monthly hospital call with no expectation of nursing home coverage. There are also plans to develop a regional market wide Lung Nodule Clinic in 2018. Back up services include Interventional Cardiology, Oncology, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Radiation Oncology with Primary and Specialty care clinics spread throughout region. Required skills are bronchoscopies, insertion & management of pulmonary artery catheters, insertion & management of chest tubes, insertion & management of central venous catheters, interpretation of pulmonary function testing, pleural biopsy, thoracentesis, ventilator, stress and pulmonary testing, intubation and airway management. STRHS - Winchester, in conjunction with its sister campus,STRHS - Sewanee, is a 152-bed acute care and 46-bed skilled care facility. The hospital is Joint Commission-accredited and serves south-central Tennessee. The facility features a 10-bed ICU, a 12-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit, a 12-bed Inpatient Physical Rehab Unit, a Skilled Nursing Unit, Sleep Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, five OR Suites and two Endoscopy Suites.
