Overview:

Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield consist of Mercy Hospital Downtown and Mercy Hospital Southwest.    We are looking for exceptional Emergency Advanced Practice Clinicians! Below are some facts about Bakersfield Mercy.    
•    Mercy Hospital Downtown’s volume is 42,000 patients
•    Mercy Hospital Southwest’s volume is 54,000 patients
•    Full complement of back-up call panel specialists and a case manager available
•    12 hour shifts 
•    Cerner EHR
Requirements: 
•    California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
•    DEA License with California registration
•    Board Certification (NCCPA, AANP or ANCC)
•    American Heart Association ACLS & PALS certification
•    1 year of Emergency Medicine experience
--OR--
•    2 years of primary care experience

Compensation:

Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) are employees of VEP.  They receive an hourly base rate and an opportunity to earn productivity compensation at specific sites.  APCs are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, vision, dental, and life insurance, profit sharing, 401k, CME and license allowances.  Our APCs also enjoy the benefit of flexible schedules, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage and the opportunity to become a shareholder which allows them to become actively involved in the governance of the company.
