Prima CARE is a 160-provider, physician-owned multispecialty group based in Fall River, Massachusetts. We are seeking an additional Nurse Practitioner to join our Pulmonary/Critical Care team of 6 physicians and 1 NP. This position includes office-based ambulatory care and hospital rounding on pulmonary consults.
Prima CARE admits patients to St. Anne’s Hospital (a Steward facility) and to Charlton Memorial Hospital (a Southcoast facility), both in Fall River. Our Pulmonary team manages the St. Anne’s ICU and we see inpatient consults and perform advanced pulmonary procedures at both hospitals. There is a busy outpatient office practice with a lung cancer screening program and specialized COPD and lung nodule clinics.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with patient evaluation and management of common pulmonary conditions. Intensive Care experience and bedside procedural skills are desirable but not required. Coverage responsibilities will include the daytime shift and some weekend shifts, always with physician supervision. Compensation will be commensurate with the practitioner’s experience, training, skill set, and confidence.
The NP/PA will be a full-time employee of PrimaCARE, with all of the benefits of being a mid-level practitioner on the Prima CARE team. The NP/PA must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, hold a valid Drug Enforcement Agency certificate, and a Massachusetts controlled substances registration. Compassion, maturity, and excellent communication skills are essential.
