Plantation General is fully accredited by the Joint Commission, certified as a Primary Stroke Center, and one of the 3 hospitals in the nation named as a Center of Excellence in Neonatal Services. This Emergency Department consists of 22 beds and 4 in overflow. It sees approximately 49,500 with 19,500 patients seen in the main Emergency Room. It provides 34 hours of Physician coverage, 60 hours of APP Advanced Practice Professional coverage and 24 hours of Pediatric coverage.
