The Salt Lake City area is a very family friendly environment and a wonderful place to live and raise a family with an excellent public school system and clean, safe communities. Salt Lake City incorporates all of the big city amenities (theater, arts and professional and collegiate sports) while keeping many of the cons of most large cities at a minimum. Housing is very affordable and congestion is much less than most other areas with a comparable metropolitan area. This area has four distinct seasons and Park City, Utah is only 40 miles away. There are a dozen ski resorts within an hour's drive. The Salt Lake City area is a great place to practice medicine!

In 2004 Pioneer Valley Hospital completed an 18-month long, $14 million construction project which included more than 88,000 square feet of expansion and renovations and a significant investment in state-of-the-art medical technology.
The project was conducted in two phases with the first phase producing a new 16,800 square foot emergency room with separate entrances for ambulances and walk-in patients. The second phase included the remodel of approximately 33,400 square feet in the areas of radiology, endoscopy, the baby nursery, hospital laboratory, central sterilization, and outpatient services.
Now known as, Jordan Valley Medical Center West Valley Campus, the medical center has maintained its long-time commitment to providing expert healthcare with kindness and compassion.
