The Texas Gulf Coast region is one of the key geographic strategies for the expansion of HCA’s GME programs. HCA is seeking an Internal Medicine Program Director to lead in the development and implementation of a new Internal Medicine Residency Program for the Houston area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, qualified leader to have input on building a program from the ground up.
• Must be Board Certified in Internal Medicine
• Must have 5 years of experience with an ACGME accredited internal medicine residency program and 3 years of experience in GME program administration.
• Be willing to combine administrative and teaching responsibilities (50/50)
• Have strong administrative and team building skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Candidates with recent scholarly activity such as peer reviewed funding, publication of original research or review articles in peer-reviewed journals, chapters in textbooks, publication or presentation of case reports or clinical series at scientific society meetings, or participation in national committees or educations organizations are highly encouraged to apply.

Clear Lake Regional Medical Center is a 595-bed tertiary regional referral center offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty services. The six-tower complex features three patient towers. More than 40 medical specialties and associated services are represented. 42-bed ICU, including 8 Cardiovascular ICU beds, 14 Cardiac Care beds and 20-ORs. 24/7 services include Hospitalists, Radiology, Lab, Pharmacy and Anesthesia. Designated Level III Trauma Center , plus a staffed with pediatric sub-specialists. Known for its advanced medicine, the hospital was the fourth facility in the nation to be designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center and the second in Texas to earn such a designation. Not surprisingly, CLRMC performs open heart surgeries and has a comprehensive cardiovascular center.
