Excellent opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner with Sickle Cell experience or new grad NP with Hematology or Pain Management experience or Chemo Certified as an RN. Join our dynamic, cohesive team of two dedicated Physicians providing comprehensive Sickle Cell care in the only clinic in the valley.
Essential Functions and Requirements
- Work Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p or 7a-4p
- Average Patient Volume: 8-10 patients per day
- Will prescribe hydration and pain management care plans, perform inpatient and outpatient consults, and may perform blood transfusions
- Experience in Pain Management or Hematology highly preferred
- Ability to work within a collaborative team environment
Banner University Medical Center Phoenix’s Adult Sickle Cell Clinic offers high quality, safe, and compassionate care for individuals with Sickle Cell Disease. The 12-chair infusion suite provides a comfortable and welcoming environment. The sickle cell nursing team provides individualized, expert, and knowledgeable care. The infusion suite also serves as an alternative to the emergency department for acute pain management episodes.
Services that are available include the following:
- IV hydration
- Pain management
- Blood transfusions
- Care coordination with specialty physicians
- General management of Sickle Cell Disease
- Social Services
The Sickle Cell Clinic is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.
