Banner University Medical Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide support to our Thoracic Surgeon in the outpatient setting. Our NP will be seeing patients in thoracic oncology setting Monday-Friday, providing clinical coordination and triage. Our NP will be holding a lung nodule screening clinic as well as supporting the growth of the Thoracic Oncology Program. Experience in chest tube placement a plus.
Work Schedule: Full-time. M-F, 8-5, with possible call from home as needed
Patient Volumes: 15 patients per day
As a Nurse Practitioner, this position is involved in clinical management of patients, performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, education, consultation, and research. This position requires working closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care.
- Current Board Certification
- Current Arizona License
- Critical Care training and experience
- Current CPR, BLS, and ACLS.
- Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substance.
