Position located at Lakeside Medical Center in Belle Glade, FL.
General Statement of Job
This position is responsible for processing purchasing transactions and maintaining inventories of materials, equipment and supplies. Responsible for all warehouse functions including the receiving, storing, shipping and preparing of products for delivery to hospital storage rooms and non clinical departments throughout the facility.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares and processes purchase requisitions required to replenish inventory in Materials Warehouse.
Performs periodic assessment of the PAR Level Systems in the warehouse and clinical storage areas to support daily requirements.
Receives incoming materials from vendors and other delivery sources.
Accurately places materials on shelves, in racks or other designated storage areas in an orderly fashion.
Pulls inventoried items from warehouse stock for the purpose of delivering and replenishing supplies in hospital storage rooms.
Expedites the delivery of overdue shipments with vendors.
Assists with cycle counts and physical inventories.
Assists with maintaining the general cleanliness of the Purchasing Department and Materials Warehouse.
Follows and adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
High School Diploma or GED required. Must have computer skills and experience necessary to operate and maintain a computerized warehouse inventory and purchasing system. Knowledge of SunGard Public Sector One Solution Software and Medhost’s HMS Materials Management applications would be a plus.
(4) Years experience in a Healthcare / Hospital Materials Management position preferred.
