The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh seeks laboratory faculty in a non-tenure stream open rank position. Successful candidate will develop an independently funded research program performing studies evaluating the immune responses and design of novel approaches to induce effective anti-tumor immunity in intraperitoneal tumors, and will be expected to engage in active collaboration with both basic scientists and clinicians within the university community. The position involves the continued development of new lines of research in the field of biologic therapy of cancer. The faculty member will work independently to develop global reseach goals and pursue funding to support the expansion of the laboratory objectives including grant writing, successful publications of research findings, oversight and mentoring of staff, fellows and students.
Candidates should possess a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D in immunology or relevant field, and have a demonstrated record of success evidenced by publications in peer reviewed journals. Applicants should have command of the English Language and evidence of good writing and interpersonal skills.
