Castleview Hospital is recruiting a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner for Dr. Brady's office in Price, UT. Must have current Utah or compact state RN license with NP. Current BLS, ACLS within 60 days of hire and PALS within 6 months of hire. Effectively delivers care to the patient through the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation and evaluation. Assures optimum quality patient care by serving as a resource person for other staff members, patient and family; continuing personal development; coordinating patient care with other departments; and assisting the physician. Supervises other registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants and technicians.
Carbon County covers 1,476 square miles and received its name from the vast amount of coal found in the region. Coal mining became the major catalyst for development in the county, and is home to the famous “world’s tallest coal miner,” located in the town of Helper. The city of Price enjoys an enviable climate, with mild winters and low humidity year round. With easy access to both I-15 and I-70, the cities of Provo and Salt Lake City are both within easy driving distance.
There are seven elementary schools in the Carbon area, along with five secondary schools creating a solid core education for our local youth. Carbon School District offers high school students the opportunity to work towards an associate degree while completing high school requirements through concurrent enrollment. Price is also the home of USU Eastern, a local community college, which has now merged with Utah State University. The new affiliation allows them to retain the mission of a community college including keeping their traditional low tuition with the added benefits of an affiliation with a world-renowned university.

Deep in the heart of dinosaur country, more whole dinosaur skeletons have been uncovered at Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry than any other site in the world. Price is home to a Prehistoric Museum, which features one of the world’s best collections of dinosaur tracks, dinosaur skeletons, a rare dinosaur egg and a prehistoric Native-American exhibit. Nine Mile Canyon known as the “world’s longest art gallery,” features thousands of ancient pictograph and petroglyph drawings on canyon walls as well as remnants of Indian dwellings, wildlife viewing, hiking and biking trails, and more.
Further east, the Green River carves canyons through the desert and provides plenty of opportunities to test your whitewater rafting skills. Goblin Valley State Park is a paradise for photographers and one of Utah’s most popular state parks. To the south lies the northern portion of the San Rafael Swell with wonderful scenic drives and back country hiking and biking. To the west are the forested highlands of the Wasatch Plateau, with hiking, skiing and mountain biking in a cool alpine setting. The Castle Country area also presents a great opportunity to get out and ride your ATV in some of Utah’s most beautiful landscapes along numerous well-maintained trails throughout the Carbon and Emery county area.

Located in the heart of Price, Castleview Hospital is a 49-bed facility that provides healthcare services to the Carbon/Emery area. The hospital offers a comprehensive list of medical services including anesthesiology, general surgery, family medicine, orthopedic surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pathology, allergy/immunology, radiology, pediatrics, otolaryngology, and urology. Castleview also provides a full range of diagnostic imaging services including mammography, CT scan, nuclear medicine, MRI, X-ray, ultrasound and more. The hospital features a 10-bed emergency department with 24-hour physician coverage, as well as a multi-purpose intensive care unit (ICU), a cardiac care unit (CCU), a newborn nursery and a full line of rehabilitative services. The hospital also owns and operates Emery Medical Center, a family practice in Castle Dale, Utah, which is staffed with a full-time physician and three mid-level providers.
Castleview Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center through the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, the accrediting arm of the American College of Cardiology, and is a Stoke Receiving Facility through the state of Utah. We are proud to offer patients access to state-of-the-art technology including: digital X-ray, 64-slice CT, and 3D ultrasound. Castleview Hospital also offers a dedicated pediatric room in the emergency department and the laboratory.
In February 2016, the hospital completed a $9.3 million renovation and expansion of the emergency department and intensive care unit to increase the number of patient beds, upgrade the interior and expand access areas and parking.
