Responsibilities

Manages the activities of Pharmacy Service's information and communications systems. Leads the department planning, execution, standardization, and optimization for operational and management information needs and decision-making. Applies business informatics to department processes through the systematic assessment and optimization of information and communication systems. Provides expertise in the department's informatics strategic direction, system requirements, and applications for the effective use of financial, operational, and clinical distributive components. Provides department project management and creates and maintains project plans for systems and technology implementations. Oversees system-level financial activities including EHR cost update process, annual budget revenue modeling, and administrative components of the 340b program. Mentors and motivates staff to enhance efficiencies in performing all required duties as well as optimizing the standardization, accuracy, and effectiveness of maintenance of Pharmacy Services related databases and data interfacing.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required. Advanced degree preferred. Advanced training in Informatics preferred. MBA preferred.

Experience: Three year's work experience related to area of responsibility. Supervisory or management experience required.

Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrated ability to lead a team, model accountability, and establish and monitor to expectations.

Proven ability to coach staff and attend to conflict.

Proven ability to effectively communicate, oral and written, to all stakeholders.

Proven ability to analyze and interpret data, assess and mitigate risk, and initiate resolution.

Demonstrated skills in problem-solving, research, analytical, presentation, facilitation organizational, consultation and training.

Proven ability to develop and implement goals and objectives.

Proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage projects.

Proven project management skills in a multi-facility corporation.

Proven ability to evaluate information systems relative to the management of inventory control and charging systems.
