JOB PURPOSE OR MISSION: Responsible for support of clinical information systems in the hospital network, including the planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of assigned Clinical Information Systems. Serves as a resource person between I/S and Patient Care Areas for the daily operational issues of hospital’s clinical systems.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Analyst I - Clinical experience in healthcare environment, bedside patient care preferred (3-5 years).
Analyst II – Clinical experience in healthcare environment, bedside patient care preferred (3-5years). Greater 2 years experience in clinical or healthcare informatics
Current Louisiana license as clinical professional (i.e. RN, Radiology Tech, or Respiratory Tech) preferred Registered Nurse required
SPECIAL SKILL, LICENSE AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Experience with personal computers (2-3 years) (ex. e-mail or internet).
PC hardware troubleshooting experience helpful.
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable HIPAA regulations appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: medical record without limitation, patient demographics, lab results, patient financial and 3rd party billing information, patients related complaints, information related to patient location.
Maintains knowledge of and adherence to all applicable safety practices appropriate to Job Position including but not limited to: incident reporting, exposure control plan, hand washing for all age groups.
