Job Description

Come to Birmingham, Alabama and join four physicians seeking a well-trained fifth in their collegial practice conveniently located on the hospital campus. Call is shared equitably among members of the group and rotating weekends plus one day a week. Brookwood Baptist has a Level III NICU and offers a hospitalist program for triage and emergency labor so that you can take confidence in taking call from home.

“We are a cohesive group of physicians who have a sense of humor and genuinely enjoy taking care of our patients. We support minimally invasive surgery, including vaginal and robotic surgical techniques. We also provide low intervention birth experiences, vaginal birth after cesarean delivery, and vaginal delivery of twins. Mentorship is readily available.”

Brookwood Baptist Medical Center is a 607-bed full service medical facility located in Metro Birmingham, Alabama, with over 2,500 employees and volunteer staff. This is the largest facility in the Brookwood Baptist Health network and admits approximately 25,000 patients annually. It offers a wide range of clinical, specialized medical and surgical services. The hospital is conveniently located ten minutes from downtown, where the city is brimming with restaurants, music venues, greenways, art scene, nightlife and shopping.

Birmingham is the largest city in Alabama with a population of 1.1 million people in the metropolitan service area. There is easy access to Alabama’s Gulf Coast and other major metropolitan cities like Nashville and Atlanta. Birmingham area offers excellent schools (both public and private), a major college of medicine, golf courses, semi-pro sports teams and multiple state and local parks.
