The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan is actively seeking an Adolescent Medicine Specialist for a full-time, employed opportunity. We are seeking a specialist that has experience or a genuine interest in medical education as Children’s Hospital of Michigan is home to one of the largest pediatric residency programs in the nation.

· Inpatient consult service 3 days per week, every 3 weeks

About the Division:
The Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Michigan specializes in the care of patients from 11 through 21 years old. The division provides comprehensive adolescent health care services including complete school, camp, sports, and routine physical examinations and immunizations. Other services include reproductive health care, eating disorders, and behavioral health management.
The staff participates in local, state, and federal advocacy endeavors in order to ensure the continuation of quality service for patients and families and serves as a key site for Michigan’s largest pediatrician training program.
Candidate Requirements:
· MD or DO
· Board certification with the American Board of Pediatrics with eligibility qualification in Adolescent Medicine
· Academic experience which may include medical student, resident, or fellow perception; curriculum development; evaluation and skills assessment
· Must be eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Michigan

The Department of Pediatrics at Wayne State University School of Medicine supports the teaching of residents, specialists, fellows, and medical students in training. More Michigan pediatricians are trained at Children's Hospital than at any other hospital in the state. Children's Hospital of Michigan is the third largest recipient of Children's Education funding in the country, which equates to $13 million annually. Ground breaking clinical, translational, and basic science research is also a major focus for the medical staff at the Hospital.
