CAMC an Academic Health System in West Virginia`s Capital City is recruiting two additional Cardiothoracic Surgeons

 Join one of the top heart programs in this region and one of the highest volume heart programs in the nation. 

 CAMC is a 958-bed academic medical center and is central/southern West Virginia’s top health care provider with four hospitals and 700 physicians on staff and a workforce of 7,000 employees.   

 As a winner of the National Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award, CAMC is nationally recognized for its progressive, innovative practices and quality of care.   

Their priority is to provide the best cardiovascular care with a focus on access, growth, network development, excellent provider and patient experience.

 Their team of cardiovascular surgeons, cardiologists, electro physiologists and vascular surgeons have extensive experience treating a wide array of conditions.    Multidisciplinary care is provided via a team approach with surgery, interventional and structural cardiology supported by professionals with advanced cardiac imaging skills in CT, MRI and ECHO.

 They are seeking a talented, contemporary surgeon with extensive experience in CABG, aortic surgery and surgical valve repair. BC as a primary operator in TAVR with a strong interest in VAD and ECMO.

 Under the auspices of the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine, CAMC is a growing academic medical center sponsoring 14 accredited medical residencies and fellowship programs, including a cardiovascular disease fellowship. CAMC is home to two regional medical school campuses.  A new Center for Learning and Research, breaking ground in 2020, will house a 14,000 square foot simulation center and other facilities dedicated to our education and research programs. 

Compensation and Benefits

·        Base Salary 880,000 to 1,000,000  depending on experience plus substantial sign on bonus

·        Generous paid time off

·        CME allowance 6,000 per year 

     The Medical Center – this is a non-profit, 838-bed medical with over 700 physicians on staff and more than 7,000 employees serving residents in 12 counties in southern West Virginia As a premiere medical teaching facility, CAMC prepares a variety of health care professionals to care for West Virginians. On any given day, CAMC hosts more than 500 students in programs leading to degrees or certifications in health professions. CAMC's well-trained nursing and support staff offers thousands of residents convenience and accessibility to quality health care. CAMC is home to one of the top five heart programs in the United States; one of two kidney transplant centers in the state; and one of the nation's busiest Level I Trauma Centers. All medical services are supported by primary care physicians throughout the region who regularly treat their patients at CAMC or refer them here for specialty consultation and treatment.
