TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for full-time and part-time pediatric emergency medicine physicians with an option to join our team at JFK Medical Center as an employee or independent contractor physician in Edison, New Jersey. Full-time employed physicians receive medical, dental, and vison benefits, 401k and retirement plan. JFK Medical Center Edison is a community hospital with a Level III pediatric emergency department with 16 private rooms, fast-track treating, and an annual volume of 10,000 pediatric patients per year. Our 46,500 square foot space has 70 patient-care treatment areas, comprehensive on-site laboratory, radiology department, bedside registration, triage and treatment rooms for minor cases and a wide range of services offered at JFK Medical Center if further treatment is required. TeamHealth also oversees the pediatric hospital medicine program. Transfers may include trauma, psychiatric, and some surgery. Our clinicians currently provide 24-hours of physician coverage per day and currently work 12-hour shifts. We are adding additional nurse practitioners to provide 6-12 hours of double coverage per day. We are actively interviewing board certified ABPEM, ABP-PEM, AOBP, ABP or board eligible within 5 years of completing residency. Candidates with urgent care experience are preferred and must obtain an active New Jersey license prior to interview and ATLS, ACLS, PALS per hospital requirements.
