Outpatient-Only Primary Care FM in Southwest OK
Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, OK is recruiting a BC/BE Family Medicine physician to go into an existing, hospital-employed, group practice. This is an outpatient only position seeing all ages. A robust recruitment package will be offered, including a guaranteed base, wRVU production incentive, sign on bonus, relocation package, student loan assistance, residency stipends for early commitment, CME allowance, full benefits and more.
SWMC is a full-service hospital with 199 beds and boasts a skilled medical staff of 150 providers in 31 medical specialties.
Located just 90 easy miles southwest of Oklahoma City on Interstate 44, Lawton is the third largest city in Oklahoma. Fort Sill, located just north of the city, is home of the United States Army Field Artillery. Visitors to the Lawton/Fort Sill Historic Landmark and Museum can see a large collection of 20th century artillery known as the Cannon Walk, view historic buildings originally constructed by Buffalo Soldiers and visit the famous Native American burial sites of Geronimo and Quanah Parker.
Lawton is located in the heart of the Great Plains Country, an area well known for its abundant lakes and world-class fishing and hunting. Mount Scott, which rises 2,500 feet above the plains, provides some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state and a chance to view free-roaming bison, longhorn cattle, whitetail deer and elk. The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, established in 1901, provides a habitat for large grazing animals on its 59,020 acres. The refuge is also home to approximately 400 species of animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians, and more than 800 plant species.
