Job Summary:
HCA Houston Healthcare is seeking to recruit a cardiothoracic surgeon for an employment opportunity to the north Houston suburb community of Kingwood. Candidate would be joining a team of supportive and collaborative providers that take a team approach to coverage and care of their patients. The incoming cardiothoracic surgeon would be offered a facility medical director opportunity.Qualified Candidates:
- Must be board certified in thoracic surgery.
- Interest in doing both cardiac and thoracic procedures.
- Robotics experience in thoracic procedures is required.
- Must be capable of doing complex cases in independent setting, and capable of doing 200 - 300 hearts a year in a Level 2 trauma program.
- Five (5) years post-fellowship experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to obtain or maintain an active Texas license in good standing.

Kingwood is a large,14,000 acre master planned community about 23 miles north of Downtwon Houston. Kingwood also known as the "Livable Forest" with a population of 65,000, but a catchment area of 200,000. Kingwood is best known for being a community that exists in harmony with nature. Kingwood's heavily wooded acreage is canopied with tall pines and magnolias, along with 20 other types of shade trees. The community is host to a variety of wildlife including deer, fish, birds, and more, that can be found in the 500+ acres of private nature preserves and parks.
