Job Summary:
Sarah Cannon Transplant & Cellular Therapy Program & the Texas Transplant Physician Group, is seeking a hematology & oncology physician fellowship trained in hematopoietic cell transplant & cellular therapy in San Antonio, Texas.Qualified Candidates:
- Board certified or board eligible hematologist oncologist
- Fellowship trained in hematopoietic cell transplant & cellular therapy is required
- Texas license eligible
- Will join four physicians and four APPs

About Methodist Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant Program:
- The Methodist Hospital Blood and Marrow Stem Cell Transplant Program is the only adult program in San Antonio and the only FACT accredited program of its kind in South Texas and one of the clinically busier in the country
- Since the program’s founding in 1993, the expert medical staff have completed over 4,000+ marrow transplants, ranking us among the most experienced programs in the nation
- Our program was the first in North America to be accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT)
- The Adult BMT Program is fully supported with dedicated outpatient clinic/procedure space, eight RN coordinators, dedicated BMT outpatient nurses, state-of-the-art cell therapy lab, photopheresis services, and an experienced, and compassionate BMT-dedicated staff set in a 29-bed HEPA-filtered transplant unit in Methodist Hospital

In the late 1998, Methodist Hospital opened the Gamma Knife Center, the only one of its kind in San Antonio and South Texas. Methodist Hospital offers many advanced imaging technologies that provide clear, detailed x-rays so physicians can diagnose and treat their patients' diseases. These tools include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), 3T magnetic resonance imaging, computerized tomography (CT), positron emission tomography (PET), cerebral angiography and picture arching and communications systems (PACS). PACS captures images through the computer instead of an x-ray film. As a result, physicians with the PACS software installed on their computers can view x-rays in their office, from several locations within the hospital and even from home, providing faster and more convenient access to their patients' x-rays.
Approximately 2,000 physicians representing virtually all medical specialties comprise the Methodist's medical staff. It also maintains one of the highest nurse-to-patient ratios in the Southwest.
