Be part of our growing neonatology practice in beautiful Lititz, PA, a picture-perfect representative of small town America
We are seeking a BC/BE neonatologist to join our 4-physician team at UPMC Lititz.
- 9-bed NICU, with 5 Level 3 beds and 4 Level 2 beds, with a combined ADC of 5, and transfers going to our sister facility at UPMC Harrisburg
- 24-hour shifts, or a combination of 8h/16h or two 12 hour shifts
- Annual NICU admissions between 120-150, and the hospital averages 1,200 delivers annually and is increasing.
- Responsibilities include covering the NICU, and most of the newborn nursery babies, attending high risk deliveries and cesarean births, NICU consults for high risk mothers, and circumcisions.
- Part of the UPMC system with access to sub specialists at Pittsburgh Children’s Hospital by phone and future telemedicine, as well as access to a growing team of sub specialists at UPMC Harrisburg
- Strong relationships with Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and DuPont Nemours Children’s Hospital.
Lititz, PA, is conveniently located about 3 hours from NYC, with easy local access to the train system connecting to all major cities, including Chesapeake Bay, beaches of New Jersey and Maryland, as well as large international airports. Lititz is a growing and thriving community in a semi-rural location with access to many attractions in Lancaster, Hershey, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. The patient population is diverse and includes an Amish and Mennonite population, as well as those from rural, suburban, and local urban communities.
