Northeast Regional Medical Center (NERMC) in Kirksville, Missouri is seeking a BE/BC Orthopedic Surgeon to join our growing, hospital-employed practice. As a 93-bed community hospital with over 75 physicians on staff, NERMC combines the best of both worlds: the close-knit feel of a community hospital with the academic energy of a teaching environment.

Located in the birthplace of Osteopathic Medicine, NERMC proudly serves as the teaching hospital for A.T. Still University—the founding school of Osteopathic Medicine—and recently formed a strategic partnership with the University of Missouri–Columbia, expanding both academic collaboration and clinical excellence.

Position Highlights

  • Hospital-employed opportunity in a thriving regional medical center

  • Level III Trauma Center and Certified Chest Pain Center

  • 24/7 anesthesia coverage (DO/MD supervised)

  • 3 modern main ORs with block scheduling

  • Fully equipped office space, including in-office X-ray

  • Call: 10 days per month

  • Join a community already supported by two established orthopedic surgeons

  • Teaching opportunities available across 5 residency programs:
    • Internal Medicine
    • Family Medicine
    • General Surgery
    • Dermatology
    • Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine
