The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Department of Pediatrics, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is recruiting a clinician-researcher at the Associate Professor or Professor rank. The ideal candidate for this position will be a clinician-researcher with a track record of successful research, funding, mentorship, and leadership. Early-career candidates will be mentored within our robust research environment; more senior candidates will have leadership opportunities.
Opportunity Details
- The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics has a mature and robust research infrastructure.
- Research assistants screen and enroll study patients from 7 AM through 11 PM weekdays and for 8 hours each day on weekends.
- The research staff includes four Registered Nurses and two undergraduate students.
- A total of 19,000 patients have been consented in research studies during the last ten years; 2,246 were enrolled in 2023.
- The infrastructure is supported by several federal grants including the HRSA-funded Pediatric Emergency Care Applied Research Network (PECARN).
