Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a skilled Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at a hospital in Pittsfield, MA. This role involves working in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency department, providing high-quality care to patients. The position is for day shifts, with a schedule consisting of 8-hour shifts.

As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will not be required to take calls; however, the trauma team must be ready to respond within 15 minutes when needed. The hospital is designated as a Level 3 Trauma Center and has a total of 38 beds, with an annual emergency room volume of 44,000 patients. The hospital utilizes the Meditech Expanse electronic medical record (EMR) system for all patient documentation and communication.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients in the emergency department, collaborating closely with the trauma team and other specialists as needed. You will maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Meditech Expanse EMR system and adhere to hospital protocols and standards to ensure patient safety and quality of care.

Requirements:

·         Active Massachusetts medical license (IMLC is not accepted).

·         Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).

·         Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS).

·         COVID vaccination is mandatory for this position.
