JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active New York State Medical License
- Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- DEA: Active DEA registration required
- Certifications: ACLS required
- Experience: Must have OB anesthesia experience including labor epidurals and C-sections
- Other Qualifications: Clean malpractice and work history required for temp privileges; no work gaps
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide full-scope anesthesia care across OR and L&D
- Manage all bread-and-butter surgical and OB anesthesia cases
- Administer anesthesia for scheduled and emergent procedures
- Perform regional blocks and monitor intraoperative and postoperative patients
- Participate in call rotation; respond within 15 minutes when on call
- Collaborate with CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and OR staff in a team-based environment
- Follow department assignments and directives from Chief or Acting Chief
- Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR
- Adhere to hospital policies, CME requirements, and credentialing standards
