- Licenses: Active PA medical license
- Board: Board Certified in Rheumatology
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty
- Other Qualifications: Ability to function independently and manage established patient panel
- Would consider 2 candidates who could each cover consistently 2 weeks/month on a regular ongoing schedule
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide in-person and virtual patient visits
- Manage established patient panel and assist with care of existing patients
- Review and sign therapy plans and infusion orders
- Oversee infusions performed at UPMC infusion center
- Provide laboratory surveillance and medication refills
- Conduct new patient visits (40 minutes) and follow-up visits (20 minutes)
- Perform joint injections
- Document all patient encounters in Epic EMR
