**Neonatologist Opening – Regional Level IV NICU (Long Beach, California)**
*Full-time, permanent position – No locums or visa sponsorship*
A Regional **Level IV NICU** in **Long Beach, California** is seeking a compassionate and skilled **Neonatologist** to join a collaborative, high-acuity neonatal care team. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a prestigious academic environment with strong subspecialty support.
**About the Position**
-Work in a **Regional Level IV NICU** with an average daily census of ~55 and approximately 1,400 admissions annually
-Care for critically ill and extremely premature infants, including complex surgical and cardiac cases
-Collaborate with MFM specialists, OB Hospitalists, and a full spectrum of pediatric subspecialists
-Participate in advanced neonatal services including:
* High-frequency ventilation (HFOV/HFJV)
* Whole-body cooling
* Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) therapy
* Neonatal and maternal transport
* Palliative care & telemedicine
* Specialized **Small Baby Unit** program
-Take part in continuous quality improvement initiatives
-Engage in an academic environment with integrated residency/fellowship programs
