**Locums | OB/GYN | Clinic + Call | San Antonio, TX**
**Why This Role**
- Urgent OB/GYN coverage need with immediate December start
- Combination of clinic, inpatient coverage, and call
- Opportunity for continued work into 2026 with longer-term coverage needs
**Assignment Details**
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Start: December 8, 2025
- End: January 1, 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday clinic 8:00a–5:00p
- Call: Night call Monday–Friday plus 24-hour weekend call
- Call Details: Second call / backup for assigned patients; 30-minute response time
- Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
- Admissions: Required
- Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes (Trauma Level 3)
- Patients per Shift: 25–30
- Rounding: Assigned patients
- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff: MAs (4), PA/NPs (1), office staff (3)
- Credentialing: Approx. 90 days; emergency privileges require clean malpractice history
**Future Need**
- Beginning January 2026, facility is seeking providers who can commit to 3–6 months of consistent coverage with clinic (Mon–Fri) plus 7–10 call days per month
**Clinical Details**
- Low-risk pregnancy management: Required
- High-risk pregnancy management: Required
- FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE): Required
- OB ultrasound performance and interpretation:
- Level I/viability: Required
- Level II/anatomic: Preferred
- Amniocentesis: Preferred
- Routine deliveries: Vaginal, low forceps, and C-section decision-making required
- Complicated deliveries: C-section, breech, multiples, abruptions, VBACs preferred
- Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations: Preferred
- Office and minor gynecologic procedures including IUDs, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP: Required
- Surgical gynecology: Open and laparoscopic procedures preferred
- Laser certification: Preferred
**Requirements**
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Texas medical license
- ACLS and BLS
- Ability to cover December dates is mandatory
- Clean malpractice history required for emergency privileges
- Active privileges at a Baptist facility preferred
**Compensation**
- Rates: Facility is accepting bids
- Malpractice: Provided
- Travel: Reimbursed
