Correctional Health Medical Director — Locum-to-Perm (Dallas, TX)

Join Parkland’s Correctional Health team in Dallas, TX as a locum-to-perm Clinical Medical Director supporting outpatient services. This supplemental, clinical-only role begins ASAP and continues on an ongoing basis, with a locum assignment of 13 weeks (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM). Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage are provided.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide clinical leadership and administrative medical oversight for Parkland’s Correctional Health program.
• Direct and coordinate all correctional medical services and serve as the clinical lead for adult and women’s health.
• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director of Behavioral Health to ensure integrated care.
• Develop, monitor, and report on annual program goals and performance metrics.
• Supervise and consult with advanced practice providers (APPs) and nursing staff.
• Deliver medical education and training to residents and students.
• Ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, laws, and clinical guidelines affecting correctional health.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas medical license.
• Board-certified or board-eligible.
• National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB) report required.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical medical management experience.
• Correctional health experience preferred.
• Spanish proficiency preferred.
