Contract Occupational Therapist (OT) — 13-Week Travel Assignment in Belen, NM

Join a 13-week contract/travel opportunity in Belen, NM, starting ASAP. Full-time schedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Compensation: Travel: $1,995/35-hours; Local: $1,967/35-hours.

Requirements:

• Current, active Occupational Therapy state license.
• CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (including AED).

Role overview:
Provide client-centered occupational therapy services to improve independence and quality of life. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of physical, cognitive, and environmental factors to establish measurable goals and individualized treatment plans. Deliver evidence-based interventions, recommend adaptive equipment, and train clients in activities of daily living. Monitor and document progress, revise plans as needed, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to support safe community and workplace reintegration.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments and set functional goals with patients and care teams.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Recommend, fit, and educate clients on adaptive tools and assistive technology.
• Train clients and caregivers in transfers, self-care, work-related tasks, and compensatory strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation including evaluations, treatment notes, and discharge plans.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate coordinated care.
• Stay current with best practices and participate in professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
