Locum Neonatal NP or PA — Level III NICU (Lansing, MI)

A respected healthcare system in Lansing, Michigan is seeking a Neonatal NP or PA to join a busy Level III NICU on a locum basis. You’ll work in a collaborative inpatient setting housed within a Level I Trauma Center, caring for critically ill and premature newborns alongside an experienced neonatology team.

You’ll be managing a typical caseload of about 10–12 patients per APP per day, participating in daily rounds and multidisciplinary care planning, and handling admissions, consultations, and discharges. Day and night shifts are available (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM), and weekend coverage is required. There are no on-call obligations. The EMR in use is Epic.

Clinical responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and managing neonatal conditions in a high-acuity environment, responding to changes in patient condition and initiating appropriate interventions, collaborating closely with neonatologists, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and ancillary services, and maintaining accurate, timely documentation in Epic.

We’re looking for clinicians who are graduates of an accredited NP or PA program, hold an active Michigan license, and have recent neonatal experience. Current NRP certification is required, and prior experience in Level II, III, or IV NICUs is preferred. Strong neonatal critical-care and assessment skills are essential.
