Cardiology technician is a staff level position responsible for performing cardiac testing for in-patients, out-patients, out-side referral clinic and assist cardiology at off-site clinic location. This position requires the ability to perform high quality EKG testing, application of 24-hr Holter monitors, and event monitor teaching. Stress testing and tilt table studies with physician present during the test. CPR Certification is required. This is a fast paced position, and requires the ability to work closely with the Cardiologist. This position will collaborate interdepartmentally with hospital operations and outpatient service departments. This position is also responsible for complying with an effective hospital-wide program for surveillance, prevention and infection control. Recognize and advocate for each patient being an individual with unique healthcare needs. Provides considerate respectful care. Affirming the patient's rights to make decisions regarding his/her medical care. Responsible for complying with a safety management program designed to provide a physical environment free of hazards and to reduce the risk of human injury.
REQUIRED: High school diploma/GED, 1 year experience, EKG testing and CPR certification.

Dayton Children’s is a 155-bed, freestanding children’s hospital with more than 35 pediatric specialties. We serve a pediatric population of 510,000 from a 20 county region of central and southwestern Ohio and eastern Indiana. Construction on a new, eight-story, 260,000-square-foot patient care tower in the center of the hospital’s current campus began in August 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in 2017. Also, a major expansion of the Springboro Outpatient Care Center and Urgent Care will include a medical office building for pediatric specialists and primary care physicians, a 16-room pediatric emergency department, an outpatient surgery center with 4 operating rooms and a 4-bed Sleep Lab.
