Provide compassionate patient care through our full-time nocturnist opportunity for a nurse practitioner (NP) or physician assistant (PA) to join our hospital services team at Progress West Hospital in O'Fallon, Missouri.
As an advanced practice clinician (APC) you will primarily do admissions from the emergency department (ED) and will not be required to perform any procedures or handle codes and rapid response. We are seeking clinicians with a minimum of two (2) years of experience to apply, therefore we are not considering new graduates at this time. Nocturnist APCs in the emergency department will work Tuesday - Monday working 7pm-7am. You will follow a 7 days on and 7 days off working model.
In today's hospital medicine environment, you're asked to deliver patient care with a high level of confidence. In 2012, O'Fallon again celebrated its recognition by Money magazine as one of 100 Best Places to Live in the nation. Settled by a German immigrant in the mid-1800s who became the city's first retailer and first postmaster and first railroad agent, O'Fallon had a population of 600 by 1912. By 1956, the population had grown to 1,357, many of the residents commuted to manufacturing jobs in St. Louis. In the mid-1990s, O'Fallon officially became a boomtown with aggressive city-wide infrastructure improvements and phenomenal residential, retail, and manufacturing growth along with a new emerging tourism industry. The city's history includes sites related to early American and Native American history, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. Today, O'Fallon's borders have expanded to about 30 square miles and the population is nearly 80,000.
